  • bisect.f: Fortran routine for locating bracketed root using bisection. Test driver tbisect.f and sample output on SGIs.

  • newtsqrt.f: Fortran program for computing square roots (solving x^2 - a = 0) using Newton's method. Sample output on SGIs.

  • newt2.f: Fortran program for computing root of simple set of non-linear equations (d=2) discussed in class. Sample output on SGIs and a check on the computation using Maple's numerical root finding capabilities (fsolve).
